Lifts

These are usually a rear finding for a functional lift to be found on a space hulk.  They are mostly non-working or considered too dangerous for use, Marines usually stick to using ladders.  However, when found working, lifts can transport many units between different levels on a multi-level map.  This gives them an advantage over ladders as Marines can move several units between levels in one go.

  • Can move between 2 or more different levels.
  • Each level stop will be marked on the Mission map.
  • Lifts will only move 1 level at a time.
  • A Lift can only be activated by the Marine player during the Reset phase and when at least one Marine unit is located anywhere on the Lift board piece.
  • If there is more than 1 Level and the current position can go either up or down, the Marine player declares which way the Lift is going.
  • Any Stealer units on the Lift will remain in there during the assent/descent.

There are two types:

  • Slow moving Lifts
  • Fast moving Lifts

Slow Lifts

Slow Lifts take longer to move between levels and only move halfway during the Reset phase. To represent this, simply move the Lift board section away from the main board during the first Reset phase. During the next Reset phase, move the Lift board section to its destination stop.

Marine units (and Stealer units) on the Lift that is halfway moving, can still perform Actions as normal during the next Action phase.

Fast Lifts

A Fast lift will move from its starting position to its destination stop during the Reset phase.
