Tyranid Unit:  Hormagaunt

Hormagaunts (subspecies name: Gaunti gladius) are fearsome but expendable Tyranid creatures. They are a subspecies of Tyranid Gaunt armed with razor-sharp Scything Talons and move on powerful hind legs in a series of exceptionally fast, bounding leaps.

Hormagaunts have a deadly instinctual ability to hunt that needs little direction from the Tyranid Hive Mind. Their extremely fast metabolism will always drive them to constantly seek out new victims.

Fast Target

Because Hormagaunts are so fast it makes them a harder target. To represent this, Hormaguant units can force a re-roll of 1 Ranged Attack Dice made against them, they must accept the new result.

This can be used only with Ranged assault. If the enemy unit rolls more than 1 Attack Dice, only 1 of them can be re-rolled. If a Marine rolls a double (or triple) 6, then there is no point in making them re-roll one of them.

Special Movement

Due to their small size and agility, Hormagaunts are able to pass through other Tyranid units, so long as they end their movement on an empty square. There is no restriction to how many Tyranid units they can pass at one time.

Hormagaunts are also small enough to climb over Rubble Blockades for 2APs. Nothing seems to hold these creatures back.

This ability makes the Hormagaunts, units to watch out for.
